John Proctor:  Matthew McConaughey

Description- He is the perfect actor for this part because he is a big buff guy. That's why he would make a good farmer. Farming is hard work. He is the type of guy that all girls would go after.  Just like Abby to John.

Reverend John Hale: Gary Sinise

Description- He would be a good actor for this part because he looks like a smart guy.  Reverend Hale is also very smart and is an expert in witchcraft. He can be a very serious actor which is perfect.








Tituba: Naome Harris

Description- Best actress for this character. She is great at playing the part she is given. She also looks like the original character from the movie. She can be a serious actress and really gets into her part.












Rebecca Nurse: Betty White

Description- Perfect actress for the part of Rebecca. She is a kind, old lady. Rebecca was also known for her kindness and willingness to serve others.










Goody Elizabeth Proctor: Tilda Swinton

Description- Absolute perfect actress for the role of Goody Proctor. She is a very unattractive lady just like the original actress. Mathew McConhaughey is way to good for her just like John is for Elizabeth. Not even her own husband loves her enough to stay loyal to her.









Abigail Williams: Amber Heard

Description- Could play the part of Abby well. Looks suductive and very strong willed.  She is bossy which makes her the leader of everyone else according to her own opinion. She always has to get her way or she gets very angry with the world and eveyone around her.






Reverend Samuel Parris: Steve Martin

Description- Steve seems more of a comedian.  But is good enough to act as Reverend Parris.  He seems nieve because he would believe evrything the young girls said no matter what. Also, in most of the movies he has acted in before, he seems very gullable so he would be perfect for this part.









Ruth Putnam: Katherine Heigl

Description- I picked Katherine to play the part of Goody Putnam because she fits her perfect. She is very dramatic, but is sweet and caring. That's why she could play Ruth's part well who worries a lot. She has acted in movies with Gerard Butler in the past, and they work well together so that is why I made them a married couple.







Thomas Putnam: Gerard Butler

Description- He is a great actor. He can play any part because he gets into it as though he is really living it. He looks like the rich type of guy. Because he is good looking and buff.







Mary Warren: Dakota Fanning

Description- She is very successful in her acting career because she is hard working. Seems like a very nice girl. She was the first that came to my mind to play the part of Mary Warren. She can be shy, but would make a good replacement for Abby working in the Proctors home.

Essay- Going against the crowd

     A lot of the choices you make right now will affect you reputation now.  Deciding whether to go with the crowd or not is a big deal.  Always make decisions for yourself.  Don't let your friends decide your life for you.  I agree that going against the crowd is not an easy thing to do.
     First of all, to be a follower is easier than to be a leader.  That's what makes going against the crowd so hard.  Peer pressure is a good example of this.  For instance, if your friends wanted to go smoke weed.  You would have the choice to go do with them or walk away from it.  I know that for me it would be hard just to have the guts to say something or to tell them that they shouldn't be doing that.  But I can only decide for myself, not for the crowd.
     Second of all, it would be hard to go against the crowd because of what they might think of you.  For example, the peole you are most close to could be the crowd you have to disagree with.  That can also make it really hard.  Everyone wants to be able to fit in with their families and be able to get along.  But when they start doing bad stuff or something that you don't agree with, then oyu may feel like you have to go along with it anyway.  Don't do that just because you are scared of what they will think.  Everyone has a right to have their own opinion so you should't go against what you believe.
     Last of all, it could make or break your reputation.  In my opinion, usually when you go with the crowd it's never for a good thing.  The reason for that is that people would just know for just doing what everyone else does.  Plus if it's stuff that you shouldn't be doing anyway then that just makes it worse for yourself in a more negative way.  On the other hand when you are a leader instead, then it always ends up to be a positive thing.  The reason for that is because people will see you in a more positive way and knowing that you are staying out of trouble, shows them what kind of person you really are.
     In conclusion, just remember to never follow the crowd.  Even in situations that seem simple, because they can turn out to be a big deal, and not in a good way.  Let me remind you of why it's always better to be a leader.  First, because it's easier for yourself to accept and you will feel better about your decision.  Second, you might be scared of what people will think of what you decide to do.  But always make your decison based on what you think, don't let the crowd decide for you.  Last, because if you choose the right decision then it can help you reputation be better because more people would be noticing how you are and what you really stand for.  I am not trying to tell you that it would be easy.  I definately agree that it is hard to go against teh crowd, because some decisins will be harder to fight that others.
